Congress kicks-off election campaign in Narasannapeta

The Congress party began their campaign for the forthcoming by-election in Narasannapeta. PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana who is in the district for the first time after becoming the PCC chief addressed a public meeting in Srikakulam. He lashed out against YSR Congress Party chief and Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy for ruining the image of the former Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Botcha said that YSR remained to the Congress party till his last breath. On the other hand, Jagan Mohan Reddy cannot spend a single day without power, he said.
Satyanarayana said that the Congress party is not worried about the political ups and downs. He said that the party is always committed about the welfare of the people. The public meeting was attended by Minister for Roads and Buildings Dharmana Prasada Rao, Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, Minister Kolusu Partha Sarathi, Satrucharla Vijaya Rama Raju, Srikakulam MP Killi Krupa Rani. The leaders questioned Jagan Mohan Reddy to explain how he could earn huge properties within a short span of time.
Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao said that his brother Dharmana Krishna Das who is contesting the Narasannapeta constituency on YSR Congress Party ticket has betrayed Congress and the people of the constituency and is acting against the advise of his family members. He urged the people to vote for Dharmana Ramadas.
PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana said that the Congress party has long term responsibilities and goals and will win a majority of seats in the forthcoming by-elections in the State. He said that the contest will be between Congress and YSR Congress Party and the Telugu Desam Party will be confined to third place.
